About Me
Picture this: It’s the middle of the party and the energy is high. Everyone is dancing and having a great time. But there’s one crucial element missing – the music. That’s where I come in. As the designated aux cord holder, I had a reputation for curating the perfect playlist. I scoured the Top 100 Billboard chart, played a snippet of each song and tried to always be up-to-date on the latest hits and emerging artists. But for me, it wasn’t just about the music. It was about creating an unforgettable experience for everyone there.
This passion for pop culture and connection with people has been a guiding force in my life. In college, I wrote and directed my own short film, and later landed a role at one of the world’s leading consulting firms. Through it all, I’ve learned the importance of research and strategy in making informed decisions and building meaningful relationships.
Now, as a communications and PR professional, I’m passionate about using my skills to make a positive impact. From crafting compelling messages to building relationships with stakeholders, I’m always up for a new challenge. So, come along for the ride and explore my journey – scroll down to see how my love for music and storytelling has translated into a career in public relations
I spent the first 18 years of my life in a small town in Veracruz, state next to the Gulf of Mexico, where I fell in love with the beach and nature. I grew up always surrounded by my beloved familia, my parents, my sisters, and my cousins.
When I was 18 years old I left my parents and my hometown to study communication and digital media in Tecnológico de Monterrey, campus Querétaro.
As you may have assumed, I apparently enjoy moving to cities I don't know completely by myself. This time, I didn't even know how to ride a bike, which is the quintessential means of transportation for the Danes. Soon after it became my favorite hobbie.
It all started when I pitched my story to my class, and was selected to be one of the two directors out of a group of 33 students. I wouldn't have done this without my amazing team, who trusted me to be their leader. Our short film was later awarded in the Best Fiction Short Film category of the National Arts and Culture Festival from Tec de Monterrey in 2019.
What started as a volunteer work to promote culture in Mexico in 2017, ended up being one of my most exciting projects. I was able to coordinate the digital and offline communications strategy for the festival to reach a national audience (before and after Covid!)
Worked with my friends to grow El Sofá, a project that aimed to provide a home for independent music and artists through music sessions published on YouTube. Today, the project has more than 80,000k subscribers.
You may learn this later, but I'm a nerd. In 2019, I graduated from a BS in Communication and Digital Media at Tecnológico de Monterrey, with the second highest GPA in my generation and a high academic performance scholarship.
From trainee, to analyst, to consultant, I started my career in one of the top consulting firms in the world. Got the chance to learn about change management, corporate comms and training with cross-functional teams from clients all around the world.
Thought this only happened for main characters in movies, but I just moved to LA! Not only that, I'm studying my master's degree in PR and Advertising at one of the best communication schools of the world, USC Annenberg!
Finally got back to work as a Communications Intern at JSA+Partners, a boutique PR Agency in Santa Monica. Got to collaborate with clients in the tech, entertainment, gaming and esports industries, such as Electronic Arts, Exploding Kittens, Sphere Entertainment Co. and SYBO.
Joined the amazing GRAMMY U network to connect with talented music professionals and immerse myself in the entertainment industry.
I've always wanted to step my foot into the music industry. And I'm finally here! During my Spring 2024 semester, I'm a Global Partnerships Intern at AEG Presents combining two things I love: music and marketing!
If you got all the way down here, I hope it was a fun ride, just as it has been for me.
